New look at MultiVersus gameplay for Batman, Superman, Steven Universe, Bugs Bunny, Arya Stark and more

Warner has also announced that the game will support a dedicated server-based rollback netcode. Players interested in getting into the beta early will be able to do so on July 19, if they participated in previous tests for the game. Game Informer got to test out the closed alpha where they offer the game "just might be a contender" and the reviewer is "impressed with what I've played so far."

Sword in hand, you can always count on Finn to charge into battle – and MultiVersus isn’t any different. As an Assassin archetype character, he’s a lot like Harley Quinn in the sense that he can deal a lot of damage in the right situation. But, that – and out MultiVersus Season 1 tier list – is for the future. Right now, we’re going to rank the entire MultiVersus roster and let you know why we think there are some characters better than others. We’re sorry in advance if your favourite is lower down than you’d like.

We didn’t think we’d be saying this, but we know how Elmer Fudd feels. Bugs Bunny is a menace in and out of MultiVersus and that makes him a top-tier character. Another character that excels at a distance and at close range, Bugs Bunny can surprise enemies thanks to being a Hybrid class. When it comes to his attacks and specials his bombs are great at disrupting enemies, while the Bat-Slide and Batarang projectiles can have the air and ground covered, while he isn’t darting about from place to place.

Some characters also have variants, or skins, based on other characters, such as Uncle Shagworthy and Cake being skins of Shaggy and Jake, respectively. Characters can be unlocked through gameplay or purchased using Character Tokens included with the "Founder's Pack" content packages, with a rotating selection of characters available for all players to use. New characters are planned to be added to the game as post-launch content. The open beta for the game officially started July 26, starting with 17 characters including Superman, Shaggy, The Iron Giant, Bugs Bunny, and more .

Closed alpha footage reveals characters from the all-new free-to-play, platform fighter videogame in action. Many years later, we’re still seeing companies make fighting games using different properties and characters they own. In 2012, Sony released PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, a fighting game featuring a slew of PlayStation characters. And just last year, Nickelodeon released Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. Gigantic fighting games filled with fun crossovers and surprising guest characters aren’t unheard of. The original Super Smash Bros. game was a Nintendo fan’s biggest dream because it saw the company’s biggest franchises clash together.

Despite how much we’ve seen, and even played, of MultiVersus, this is the first official gameplay trailer for the game. In it, we see some of the crazy character combinations possible in this crossover fighter and hear some unique dialogue for each combination of ally and opponent. For those who want to play before everyone else during the early access period, you'll automatically be invited if you were part of the closed alpha which took place previously. If you didn't but still want a shot at some early brawls, you can perhaps score access through Twitch Drops.

Publisher Game Informer has shared two gameplay videos from the upcoming fighting game in which we can see Harley Quinn and Batman. Its launch on Steam was the most successful for a WB Games title, and also multiversus gameplay trailer the biggest fighting game ever released. Complicating these perks further is that they can stack if your partner uses them, too.
